About Us “Our sorrows and wounds are healed only when we touch them with compassion.” -Buddha

There’s a reason you’re here.
You want to make changes and move forward. Maybe you’ve tried many things, but nothing has brought the relief you seek. You’re ready for healing, and I’m here to help.
A Safe Place for Real Change
It’s normal to feel uncertain about opening up to someone new. I’ve been there myself. That’s why I’ve created a space where you don’t have to worry about judgment or bias. Here, you are accepted, heard, and validated.
Therapy with Ksenia Kogan LMHC is about trust, connection, and radical acceptance. We’ll start with what’s bothering you most and discuss what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan just for you, with the first goal being relief from your symptoms.
Early on, I’ll teach you coping skills to help manage anxiety and stress, and as we work together, you’ll find a sense of safety and gentle support.
How I Work
We’ll address past trauma and the emotions you’ve been holding inside. This process can bring up sadness, anger, shame, or guilt, but you won’t face it alone. I’ll be right there with you, offering support as you release emotional pain. Before we process difficult memories, I’ll show you self-calming and self-soothing techniques to help you feel comfortable and in control.
I use evidence-based methods like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to help you move past negative self-talk and let go of emotions and memories trapped in your mind and body. We’ll go at your pace, and you’ll always be supported.
Therapy can make a real difference. You’ll learn to manage your thoughts and emotions compassionately, accept and love yourself, and feel calm and in control. You’ll be able to talk about your past without fear and move forward confidently.
My Mission
Helping and healing is my mission. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been curious about people’s stories and feelings. Becoming a therapist was a natural path for me. I’ve had my own struggles, and the guidance of a caring professional helped me find my strength. Now, I’m honored to help others move out of pain, shame, and loneliness.
My Background
I hold a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Southern New Hampshire University, where I graduated with a distinguished scholar award for the highest GPA in the program. I am certified in EMDR and EFT and am always learning new ways to support my clients.
My work has been published in professional journals, and I am passionate about helping people heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, grief, low self-esteem, and relationship issues.
As a bilingual therapist, I offer services in English and Russian. Ksenia Kogan Therapy is a culturally sensitive practice. I always value my client’s cultural, traditional, and religious considerations. I bring into our sessions and treat everyone with high awareness and respect. I work with adults, teens, and families and am committed to providing a warm, accepting, and nonjudgmental environment for everyone.
More About Me
Outside of my practice, I love traveling and learning about other cultures. I enjoy spending time with my family, children, and friends. I also write poetry in Russian and have completed my first children’s chapter book in English, designed to help kids manage their emotions in healthy ways.
